Friday Itinerary – Welcome to Vermont:
Saturday Itinerary – Green Mountain Touring, Covered Bridges, and Lake Side Views – 165 miles:
After a good night’s rest, a full breakfast directly at your hotel (included in your package), and a brief review of the day’s ride with your guides, we’ll all depart from the one large parking lot. Within minutes, you’ll be enjoying the scenery that abounds.
You’ll wind your way along the foot of the High Gaps of Vermont, where we’ll guide you through quintessential Vermont. Smooth, winding pavement leads you into the beautiful Green Mountain range, followed by gliding down into lush green valleys dotted with church steeples, covered bridges, and quaint villages.
The lunch we’ve arranged for you (included in your package) matches your stunning morning of riding: You’ll dine at a grand resort, sitting on the shores of Lake Champlain. This lodge, run by the same family since 1866, provides a stunning lunch with a stunning environment.
Following lunch, you’ll ride through Vermont’s pastoral lands, arriving back in Burlington in the early afternoon. [There are optional unguided tours available Saturday afternoon for nearby, and worth-seeing, mountain top views and museums.]
Burlington is a gem of a small city, often ranked among the best small cities in the U.S., and you’re going to see why. That evening, we encourage you to wander the award winning waterfront, and explore the pedestrian streets lined with cafes, boutique shops, bistros and restaurants. It’s a wonderful way to spend several hours, and gives you a moment to yourself. You’ll be on your own, but we’ll provide you a map of attractions you won’t want to miss, and as always, we’ll be nearby should you need us.
Sunday Itinerary Fantastic Touring, Mountain Lodge Lunch, and Sunset Dinner Cruise on Lake Champlain – 170 miles:
Following another refreshing full breakfast (included in your package), get ready for the highlight day of the weekend. We’ll take you through the northern mountains of Vermont, going through Vermont’s best high gap, and stopping for cider and apple cider donuts at a classic Vermont cider mill.
Lunch (included in your package) awaits you at the top of a winding mountain road
(suitable for virtually any riding ability), at a mountain lodge that we’ve reserved
exclusively for Rolling Thru Vermont. This enormous timber lodge provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains, a deck overlooking the pond, and most importantly a traditional Vermont-style banquet.
Next, you’ll ride past covered bridges, meandering your way back to Burlington where a fabulous sunset dinner cruise awaits you.
2 ½ hours at sea, cruising among the islands of “the 6th Great Lake” on two private decks, you’ll feast on an amazing menu (included in your package).
Door prizes will be awarded from Cardo Systems (a $400 headset) and Tour Master. [Your odds of winning are quite good!]
Monday Itinerary – Farewell Breakfast, and Guided Tours Towards Home – 60 miles:
A special Farewell Breakfast (included in your package) awaits you in the Sunset Ballroom, with morning (spectacular) views of the Lake. Special awards will be presented, and photos of the weekend will be shown.
Following breakfast, there will be three guided groups departing headed either north (for our Canadian friends), south east (for our Boston friends) and south west (for our NYC-area friends). We’ll guide you for approx 100 miles, bringing you to a convenient location for you to continue home on your own.
